Welcome to The Lovely Muse Apothecary! Our goal is to provide you with high-quality, handcrafted products that bring fragrance, care, and inspiration into your life. To ensure transparency and a smooth shopping experience, we’ve outlined our key business operation policies below.
Order Processing Times
- All of our products are handcrafted to order with care and attention to detail.
- Standard processing time: 5-7 business days, unless otherwise specified on the product page.
- During busy seasons (e.g., holidays), processing times may be slightly longer, but we’ll always keep you informed.
Shipping
- We ship using USPS Ground Advantage or USPS Flat Rate Priority within the U.S.
- Free shipping is offered on orders over $100.
- Unfortunately, we no longer offer international shipping directly via the website. I will occasionally ship to the UK, Japan, South Korea, India, South Africa,UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and most of the Middle East upon request and via custom order.
- Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number via email.
- Shipping upgrades (e.g., priority or express) are available at checkout.
Please note: The Lovely Muse Apothecary is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or lost/stolen packages. However, If you experience an issue, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to assist you.
Returns & Refunds
Due to the nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. Here’s why:
- Handcrafted and made to order: Each item is made specifically for you, when you order ensuring the highest quality and attention to detail.
- Hygiene Reasons: Since all of our products are personal care items such as: perfume, body oil, skincare and soap; I cannot legally accept returns per FDA standards. Plus it would be super yucky. That said, I’m happy to work with you on a possible exchange or store credit depending on the circumstances.
- I offer small sample sizes of perfumes, and skincare; if you are unsure about a product please purchase a sample size first.
Exceptions
- If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging, and happily resolve the issue.
Order Changes & Cancellations
- Changes or cancellations can only be accommodated within 24 hours of placing the order. After this time, production begins, and we’re unable to make modifications.
- Please double-check your shipping address before completing your order. We are not responsible for packages sent to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
Custom Orders
- Custom fragrance creation services are non-refundable and require a paid consultation first to ensure the final product meets your preferences.
- Each custom fragrance includes two sample rounds for testing before finalizing your product.
Allergies & Safety
- Our products are crafted with high-quality ingredients, but individual sensitivities may vary. Please read product descriptions carefully and perform a patch test on your skin or hair before use.
- The Lovely Muse Apothecary is not responsible for allergic reactions or misuse of products.
Important: If you have any concerns about ingredients, please consult with a medical professional prior to use. If you experience an allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately and seek medical assistance.
